这两个词共同的意思是“集市”。它们的区别是：
fair指定期的“集市”,一般在乡村或集镇举行,引申为“国际性的博览会”; market指经常出售货品的“市集”,即经济学上所指的“市场”。例如:

这两个词都有“市场”的意思。它们的区别是：
1.market指具体的交易市场或总体的商品市场, marketplace指设置市集的场所。例如:
