write, write about
write和write about都是“写…”的意思,但write的宾语常用book, letter, report, composition等词,即“形式”; 而write about的宾语则往往指写作的内容或题材,意思是 “写关于…的事”。

两者都可指“给…写信”, write sb 主要用在美式英语中,而write to sb 主要用在英式英语中。
