lame，cripple
这两个动词都含“使跛、使残废”之意。
lame普通用词，指因受伤或本身的生理缺陷而使人的身体致残，着重行走时的不便。
cripple正式用词，语气较强。多指因伤、体弱或疾病等所导致的永久性残废，常为肢体不全，行走不便，甚至移动身体也困难。
