sob, cry, sniffle, wail, weep
这五个词都可以表示“哭泣”,它们的区别是:cry指由于某种感情而流泪,哭着表示悲哀或痛苦,强调发出声音,有时也表示无声地流泪,多用于口语中; sniffle 多指大哭后的“抽泣”; sob多指尽力抑制感情时的流泪; wail则表示“号啕大哭,痛哭”; weep可指因内心痛苦或喜悦而“哭”,既可指出声的“哭泣”,也可指无声的“流泪”。
